Hurricane Hicks

So I got to thinking that we should highlight all the visitors that we have had in the last couple of months, and boy has it been a lot-but Matt and I had such a unique experience with everyone, that it would only make sense to tell everyone else just how much fun we had. Momma Upton drove down the end of January and cooked dinner for us every night, it was all so yummy and wonderful to have dinner ready when we got home from work-Matt and I both gained weight, while Lorraine worked very hard every day by biking, swimming, and running what an accomplishment! We taught her how to play Texas hold'em, and she won the pot. Aunt Louise flew in the end of February and we packed in the activities. We went to the Cocnut Grove Art Fair, and the Miami International Boat Show, where Matt worked a booth, but our favorite time was the trip to Key West where we kayaked through Mangrove trees, and got to see all sorts of starfish and other sea creatures, we window-shopped on Duval street, had cocktails while we watched the sun sink beyond the ocean, and then finished our day with a fabulous dinner at a little spot off the beaten path-courtesy of Joe Nekola.

Hey Kate, you describe such great times! It is nice you have such a fun place for people to visit....everyone loves to go to Florida. Tulsa doesn't have quite the same appeal, but family still has visited :) I'm glad to hear everything is going well. Love, Melissa
