Christmas Recap

Okay, now that I've touched on a few of the days we were home, I'll give all of you the details of our crazy, exhausting, amazing, fun-filled trip! As you know, I was pretty loopy when we arrived in Lansing on Thursday night, thanks to Dad. Betsy and her new boyfriend picked us up at the airport, and I chrisened the outside of his truck. My family welcomed us home with food, drink, and Dixie Chicks. I didn't eat, and I sure as hell didn't drink! Friday I drove to Flint for lunch and love with Andrea and B, then drove to Grand Rapids for dinner and laughs with the Myers family and then celebrated Christmas on Saturday-you saw the awesome pic in the previous blog. Christmas Eve was with Rhonda and Lorraine where we stuffed ourselves silly, and I believe at this point if I weighed myself I probably gained 5 pounds. Christmas morning we watched Kayden discover his new tool set and workstation, while we opened tons of presents too! That afternoon all of the Underwood family (Mom's side) came over to the Lakehouse where we visited, and ate more food! Tuesday Matt and I had lunch with the three Bs, Rachel and Whitey, Wednesday was the Myers family Christmas(dad's side)back in the Flint area, Thursday was dinner with Bob and Dawn, and then more munching at Elmer and Jan's for more food and visiting. Friday I shopped with Miller-Time, helped her try on wedding dresses, and then we partied at Roto and Angie's place. We played some flip-cup, did some late night singing, and took our turn on Dee's new breathalizer. Good thing no one drove home! Saturday was the Hicks Christmas, and then later that night we went to Becky Buck's new apartment in Lansing and had some good ole cousin time, the scale would read an additional 10 pounds, and Sunday was New Year's Eve at my parent's place and at Glen Lewis's house. More flip-cup, more of Heath in his underware, and lots of pictures of long-time friends! As I mentioned in a previous blog, we are truly blessed to have such wonderful people in our lives! Thanks and can't wait to see you all soon, I'll be exercising to prepare for all the food that will be eaten next Christmas!

Great blogging! I love it! I am so sorry that I missed you Friday night...after the long week I was wiped out! :( It's hard being a momma, but I wouldn't have it any other way! :) I'm so lucky to have you in my life, too and I can't wait to catch up again soon! Love ya!

Wow! Great pics and posts! It sounds like you had a great time with everyone. Our time was short and rushed in Michigan, but we did get to see family before heading back. I can agree w/you on how it feels to appreciate family and friends SO much after living out of state. Glad that you had a great time and hopefully the next time we are both in Michigan our paths will cross!! Love, Melissa
