The middle of December Lorraine had a hysterectamy in order to remove her newly diagnosed uterine cancer. This came as such a shock to the family, we thought these days were over, but the doctor's seemed optimistic that having the surgery would remove everything, and that the chances of cancer in the lymphnodes were slim. She had laproscopic surgery done, the pic above is the laser that was used in the surgery which is less evasive, and the recovery time is much faster. The good news came on the 21st-the cancer was contained, nothing in the lymphnodes, and much to celebrate! Lorraine is doing well, and recoverying quite nicely!
