This past weekend was a very memorable one for our family, and for Matt's family too! My sister Megan was planning a one-woman cabarett, so it was important for the family to fly in to support her. We arrived early Friday afternoon, where we checked into the hotel and walked two blocks down the street to Central Park, where Brock proposed to Betsy! It was a planned engagement from everyone, but Betsy, she had no idea, which made it even more special! That evening we had a fabulous sushi dinner, then got on the subway to see Megan perform in a quaint little club called "Don't tell Mamma's" where she sang 15 songs with her piano accompanist and it was amazing! She is out there living her dream, and it is slowly coming true, she inspires me. Saturday we saw the broadway performance "In the Heights," it was incredible, the signing and dancing, and music, was phenomenal. I've only seen a few broadway shows in my day, but this was the best one by far. Later that evening we had reservations at a Japanese Kobe beef steakhouse, the best steak in the world, and it most certainly was. My mouth is still salivating over the melt-in-your-mouth, butter flavor of the meat. Sunday we flew back home, and while we were waiting for our flight, we received a call from Miss Rebecca Buckets herself, and Steve proposed to her over dinner and cupcake dessert on Saturday. Congrats to the newly engaged! The pictures are from our NYC trip.
