This Saturday was Christmas for my dad's side of the family, which is greatly anticipated since we see these family members about twice a year. Mom and I spent the week preparing for a sit-down feast, complete with assigned seating, holiday dishes, poinsettia centerpieces, and a chocolate fountain for the little ones. Can you believe that I forgot to take a picture of this? I guess I was all wrapped up in the idea of family being together! Although this gathering is greatly anticipated, we were still missing some members of the family due to work, or inclement weather in the Southern part of Michigan, which made for a few sad moments throughout the day, but overall it was just lovely! That evening we went to the Patterson Christmas party for a few hours while the snow covered everything in sight! It was very nice to see this group of friends, it had been about three years, lots of catching up, new babies, new homes, new jobs. We left the party in a white-out of snow, and the next morning awoke to the same storm still snowing down on us! Matt and I took full advantage of the weather and went sledding, snowmobiling, snowangel making, wrestling, and anything else that tickled our fancy. We haven't seen snow like this in years, we felt like little kids again!

Yup! Don't get to see this stuff in Miami! We didn't get to play in it, but if it were up to me Sunday, we would've found an empty parting lot and did donuts :) Next time it snows like this we should have a sledding party!
There is definitely a fascination with snow!
So glad you got to play in the snow. Feels good, don't it? :) You guys should come over this winter and we'll go skating on our pond!
