So we have a house, and that means maintenance! For the first Memorial Weekend ever, we stayed home to work. Mom Upton came over Friday, Saturday, and Monday to help me with landscaping around the front and sides of the house. For those of you that have been to our place, we have a stone garden, and that's all we have. Lorraine and I worked really hard to put a few hastas, day lillies, and some other flowers in our rock garden. This meant digging out rocks, moving pile after pile, and then putting them back. I helped as much as I could, but if it wasn't for Mom Upton, I know I would be growing a rock garden forever. She also brought over some beautiful larger stones for decoration from Massachusetts when we lived out there, and then from Grandma Betty's place, and it looks lovely!
While we were doing that, our neighbor Benny came over and helped Matt cut down 6 trees to thin out our view to the lake. That was also a two day process, poison ivy and all. Matt took the proper precautions, but I still bought two types of treatments just in case! We also got half way through opening our pool on Monday, and then finished up on Tuesday night. It looks fantastic! Now, if we can just have some hot sun beating down for a few weeks to warm it up!
As for a pregnancy summary, I'm doing good weight wise, sleeping is still a chore where I wake up for a few hours at a time, and can't get back to sleep, but it has half to do with me thinking and pondering about ele3! Yesterday was a very bad eating day, I was a monster. At about 4:00 pm all I wanted to eat was junk, I remembered that for one of my baby shower presents I received a basket of chips and chocolate for the late night feedings from my Aunt Jo. Well, I'm sure you can guess what I did. I ran into the babies room, opened a bag of cheetohs, ate half of it, and then my awesome husband took the bag away from me (thank you)! Then 15 minutes later, I went back to that same present and opened the box of ghiradelli chocolates and ate 6. I didn't feel so good after that. Then around 9:00 pm, Matt made hot wings. We have a tradition going that if we are at home and the Redwings are on during the playoffs, we will have "wings, and wings" Hot Wings and Redwings for those that need explanation. So I gobbled down my entire plate of hot wings before Matt finished half of his, and no, no, I'm not done yet, I made microwave popcorn and devoured the entire bag!
Today, it's back to fruit, veggies, complex carbs, and salads. Wish me luck!

Well, the only fun you really can have while pregnant is eating so I say go for it! Just mix in some healthy things as well :) I told the Q folk you were expecting. Everyone is really excited for you. Marta is preggo right now too!!!
Dearest Katie Babe! Didn't want to make you sick but munchies helped me thru. A little indulgence won't hurt so enjoy! Can't wait to see your home - looks like it will be July before we do. Catch as much happiness as you can! Love You. Jo
I'm with Jocelyn...you've gotta eat when your prego :) It really is the one indulgence that is allowed. Yard work is tough, but it looks so nice when its done! I wish we lived closer, I would love to come enjoy your pool.

I am enjoying reading about your pregnancy adventures. But, you know, in the end, it is so worth it when you are holding your bundle of joy in your arms. Best thing in the world!
