Monday Madness

Today was a rough one for me as far as energy level goes. I was so tired from the recent late night feedings. I have to get to bed earlier! I fall asleep feeding the baby and then jerk awake to make sure Niles is okay!

I had my first doctors appointment today, got my stitches out and boy do I feel better. We chatted a bit about breastfeeding, and it was so nice to know that even someone in the medical profession believes that it is okay to not breastfeed if it doesn't work out, perfect timing because over the weekend Matt and I made the decision to pump and supplement with formula. I feel so much better, and less stressed. I rented a double pump from the medical supply store to make my life easier, and pumping time less, but the dumb thing doesn't have a speed adjustment. I can only pump about two ounces with it. With my single, speed adjusted one I can get 4. I swear, what is the freaking deal! So, back to half hour pumps until I can make it into Lansing to get another speed adjusted one. I'm pumping right now, this is about the only time I can get online.

We stayed home this weekend, yeah! It was so much less chaotic than the weekend before, and again, I felt so much less stressed! I'm not sure how long it will take me to be able to get out and do things without freaking out, I thought I would be able to just jump right on the bus, but thus is not the case. Home bodies it is for us until we are all adjusted.

Friday was also a great day as we finally got our fence around the pool installed. It looks great, and blends in with the scenery. Our backyard is really starting to come along!

This is the hard part Kate. You'll make it through, we all do! The trick is to slow down, try to nap, let others do the other stuff. Supplementing will work out great and will help make things more flexible for you down the road. Big hug to you mama!
